i-VMS OMS is a user-friendly but and effective autonomous system that constantly monitors all major system components, connections, application services as well as sensors and radio systems that jointly form a i-VMS. The system is capable of providing detailed early warnings and alarms of events unfolding in the system. The OMS may be fully integrated in to the JMAP operator workstation to allow seamless integration in every respect. The integration equips the common operator with a complete and easy to understand view of the current state of the system and to initiate appropriate action. The OMS provides constant overview of the entire system. The OMS is capable to monitor everything from operating status of sensors to logical network connection and offers a complete network overview from one workstation. The i-OMS may be set to log events in the surveillance infrastructure and information may be shown on web pages as reports. Critical system alarms may be routed to responsible personnel either as SMTP E-Mail or SMS messages.

The OMS may optionally provide Helpdesk services as well as system asset management. The OMS is not only capable of monitoring the various components in the i-VMS but it provides monitoring for the underlying IT and other infrastructure components as well. The system is capable of SNMP monitoring with compliant devices such as routers, hubs, switches, UPS, computers, etc. The OMS may also perform monitoring through a HTTP/XML interfaces.

The OMS system may also interface with leading monitoring and management applications such as the BMC, Patrol software application.
